Tonight I was able to take Maxwell with me to Hilton Coliseum, where we watched the Cyclones win
their home opening volleyball game in straight sets over the Coyotes of South Dakota (25-19, 25-18, 25-19).
The game started at 6:30 and was over by 8:00, so we were able to stay for the whole thing... which is not always the case when taking kids to a volleyball game. I split a Clone Cone with Maxwell, which of course helped to keep his interest. We also got to take a selfie with Cy and give him a high-five, which Maxwell got a kick out of.
Apparently this is the 4th straight home opening volleyball game that we have been to. Last year we saw Iowa State defeat
Ole Miss, two years ago Iowa State defeated
Kent State, and three years ago they beat
Wichita State. It looks like all four of those matches the Cyclones won in straight sets.
