Iowa State 83, Southern Miss 57.
Tonight I took Nolan with me to watch Iowa State's home-opening basketball game, where the Cyclones defeated the Golden Eagles of Southern Miss. However, we did not sit in our usual seats in section 216. We were both able to move down the the lower level. I sat in the 3rd row of section 135 with Ryan Butler and Jon Fleming, while Nolan sat with Andy, Luka, and Nico in the 3rd row of section 132. They were both very good seats!
As for the game, Tre Singleton had a great game, as he scored 28 points and collected 9 rebounds. The only other Cyclone that scored in double digits was Jaquan Johnson (10). It was also nice to see Tamin Lipsey back on the court, as he was given a 5th year of eligibility!
Tonight's game was the 53rd ISU men's basketball game that Nolan has attended. The previous game was last season's win vs Houston. As for myself, this was the second time that I have seen the Cyclones play against Southern Miss, as I had taken Maxwell to see them play in 2019.
One fun thing that happened tonight was that Nolan was able to get onto the Jumbotron at Hilton! We did not end up getting our usual picture of the final score, since Nolan had to ride home with the Bucks.
